#13: Amygdala

"What a joy it is to behold the divine."

The Nightmare Frontier is hands down my least favorite area in Bloodborne, and this so-so boss definitely doesn't make up for it. I may have nightmares about the defiled chalice version, but the actual boss is kind of a joke given how intimidating the Lesser Amygdala are when they're hanging around Yharnam. I actually don't think I've ever died to it. The phase differentiations, even the one where it rips off its arms, are more window dressing than anything else. It might be the least offensive part of the Nightmare Frontier, but that really isn't saying much.

Pros:

Fun to fight the thing you've seen hanging on buildings all game

It ripping off its arms is pretty cool

Get to be done with the Nightmare Frontier

Cons:

Too easy given how hyped up it is

Not worth the trek through the area

Wonky camera

maria is a nonbinary butch lesbian. like, obviously. she is very tough and protective of her wife but also just melts like butter when adeline calls her handsome :) i also think she's demi

gascoigne is a trans man. he is ur huge trans dad with huge trans muscles. i feel like this is self explanatory. he loves his wife and his wife is bi (he is also bi)

eileen nonbinary. outfit makes this obvious. also she gives like elder transfem vibes too tbh. she is your trans lesbian grandma

both rom and yurie would be they/them lesbians i feel like it's self explanatory.

first of all yurie has ace vibes and also the whole fit makes me inclined to say that no one in the choir is cis.

and rom simply ascended gender as a concept. i made a powerpoint slide about this. transition goals tbh

on that note literally all of the great ones are nonbinary. like, canonically, by definition. they do not have any need for nor place in the human construct of gender because they are just cosmic vibers. did anyone ask amygdala it's pronouns? didn't think so
